The Action Heroes

Move over Leonardo DiCaprio, step aside Angelina Jolie. Everyone knows the real stars of the Cannes Film Festival, May 13-24, are the stunning superyachts that crowd the harbour during the festivities. Whether hosting celebrity packed parties or serving as a private haven for their owners and guests to disappear to, all eyes will undoubtedly be on the amazing luxury yachts in Vieux Port de Cannes.

The Cannes Film Festival Yacht Spotters' Guide

1) The Action Heroes

While these explorer yachts would be the perfect casting choice for an action-adventure blockbuster, they're equally suited as a base for Cannes Film Festival enjoyment.

The 63 metre Lürssen-built superyacht Polar Star will be making an entrance at the Cannes Film Fest. Managed by Camper & Nicholsons, the explorer yacht is made to go-anywhere, but she's a comfortable base for in-port activities with multiple shaded decks, a Jacuzzi, bar and, of course, an open-air cinema for private movie screenings.

The ever-adventurous Arctic P will also be on hand, fresh from her win at the at the World Superyacht Awards, where her owners scooped up the Voyager’s Award for their trip that went further south than any yacht has been. She is currently anchored in front of the Eden Roc hotel but should be one to look out for during the festival.
