Fano-based shipyard Alpha Custom Yachts has celebrated the launch of the fourth unit from its 29.6-metre Squalo 100 motor yacht series, Squalo 4.
Designed by Roberto Curtó Design, the model was created to "challenge traditional expectations" and offers what the yard describes as a highly livable layout with generous volumes designed around how owners spend time on board. Roughly 410 square meters of space has been designed "to be lived in"; maximising interior and exterior living areas, while offering a flow between social and private areas and the water.
“The livable space is what people truly appreciate,” said founder and CEO of Alpha Custom Yachts, Roberto Aboumrad. “No matter how beautiful a yacht may be, if you don’t have the human spaces that make you feel comfortable and at home, you won’t enjoy the boat the way it’s supposed to be enjoyed.”
According to the shipyard, the Squalo 100 stands as an example of Alpha’s belief that "true comfort is experienced through all five senses", with space, silence, vibration, colour, atmosphere and privacy all playing key roles on board. As such, the yacht features "floating" walls, floors and ceilings – meaning the living spaces are structurally separated from the hull and superstructure – to reduce sound and vibration transfer.
“That’s why you don’t hear generators, vibration, or even conversations from other cabins,” added Roberto. "There is total silence on board."
Outside, clean exterior lines, bold proportions and expansive glazing define the yacht's contemporary profile. Inside, natural materials, soft textures and refined details have been selected to offer a relaxed yet refined experience. Accommodation is for up to 10 guests in five suites, alongside a complement of five crew.
BOATPro estimates Alpha Custom Yachts to have four yachts on order or under construction. The shipyard celebrated the launch of the first from the series in May 2024.
