Dutch yard Amels has delivered the latest model in its 55 metre Limited Editions 180 series, Nomad.
Nomad will spend the first summer season in the Mediterranean before relocating to the US and the Caribbean.
The yacht features a bespoke colour scheme specified by the owner and designed in collaboration with exterior designer Tim Heywood and the Amels in-house design team. The blue hull and anthracite grey superstructure emphasise the “long lines of the bridge and sun decks,” the yard said.
The yacht was project managed by Ocean Independence, who will continue to provide operational management services.
Nomad features custom interiors designed by the California based boutique residential studio Bonesteel Trout Hall, which was specifically chosen by the owner and worked in collaboration with the Amels in-house interior team.
Standout features of the Amels 180 include a 190 square metre sundeck, bridge deck sky lounge and main deck owner’s suite, complete with a folding balcony. Accommodation is for 12 guests split across six staterooms, while the crew quarters allow for a staff of up to 12.
Amels sales manager Rutger Dolk previously said, “The owner was looking for proven ocean-going performance so he and his family can enjoy destinations around the world.”
He added: “Creating such a bespoke yachting experience while still offering delivery in less than a year is a great compliment to our design and project teams and demonstrates how well our Limited Editions approach works.”
Construction on the next available Amels 180 has already begun for a summer 2020 delivery.
