Applications for Blue Wake Awards 2026 now open

The Monaco Yacht Show’s sustainability initiative Blue Wake is now inviting applications following the success of its pilot programme last year.

Developed in partnership with Water Revolution Foundation, the initiative aims to identify and showcase solutions that contribute to environmental improvement while increasing transparency across the industry. Last year's pilot identified 59 environmental improvement solutions across the superyacht sector. 

This year, Blue Wake will expand its scope to include brokerage and yacht management companies, a move which reflects the growing importance of sustainability across the entire lifecycle of a vessel, from build and operation to sale and management.

“Blue Wake represents a pivotal moment for the Monaco Yacht Show as we continue to evolve into a platform where technical transparency and environmental sustainability help redefine industry standards,” said Toby Moore, CEO of Informa Prestige. “By introducing a rigorous, evidence-based framework, we empower exhibitors to present their operational progress with credibility. Expanding the programme to include brokerage and yacht management companies also recognises that environmental improvement can come from different stages of the yacht lifecycle.”

Leah Werner, newly appointed executive director of Water Revolution Foundation, said the initiative marks an important step in strengthening industry standards.“Blue Wake 2026 is a crucial milestone in embedding standards that enable exhibitors and the wider yachting industry to advance together,” Werner said. “Building on the foundations established last year, this edition further develops the framework introduced during the pilot programme, offering exhibitors a structured way to present environmental improvement initiatives supported by available evidence.”

How exhibitors can apply

Applications for Blue Wake 2026 will be reviewed by Water Revolution Foundation against the Blue Wake framework and the evidence provided by applicants. Deadline for submissions is 1 July 2026.
