Superyachts heading to auction in November 2026

13 October 2026 • Written by Hannah Rankine

The yacht auction market is evolving. What was once considered an unconventional sales method is now gaining credibility among superyacht owners and yacht brokers as a transparent, time-efficient alternative to traditional brokerage.

Boathouse Auctions is at the forefront of this shift. In 2026 alone, the company has successfully sold six yachts at auction, with its seventh auction event now underway. The auction model offers sellers a structured, deadline-driven process that complements - rather than competes with - traditional yacht brokerage. All auctions are conducted in collaboration with the yacht's central agent, ensuring a cooperative approach that benefits both sellers and buyers.

For owners of rare and distinctive assets, the appeal of a competitive, transparent bidding process is clear. Erik Vonk, owner of the 45.6-metre expedition yacht Scintilla Maris, sees auctions as a natural fit for the superyacht market, drawing parallels with other high-value asset classes. "For rare, valuable assets - such as museum-quality art, collection-worthy automobiles, jewellery and other investment-grade, one-off items - an auction is the market mechanism of choice for an acquisition or a sale," he says. "Over the years, orchestrated bidding processes have evolved in the worlds of exclusive real estate, company mergers and acquisitions and yachting."

With a range of yachts heading to auction in November 2026, here's what's on offer.

Well Done

LOA: 25.6m
Builder: Burger Boat
Online bidding date: 12 November 2026
Opening bid: No reserve auction - selling to the highest bidder

The owner and captain of Well Done share a long-term relationship spanning over 20 years. Designed by Don O'Keefe, the motor yacht combines classic design with modern upgrades following a comprehensive two-year refit.

This included a complete systems and aesthetic overhaul. A new Garmin electronics suite was installed, alongside upgraded AV equipment and new televisions throughout. She was also fully repainted, while the interior received re-upholstered furnishings, re-varnished woodwork, new flooring and custom linens.

The social hub is her flybridge, where guests can enjoy panoramic views, relax on the spacious aft deck or gather around the dining table for al fresco meals. Inside, the saloon provides a cosy retreat for evenings in, while the aft dining area benefits from abundant natural light. Forward, the open galley features adjacent seating, offering a 'chef's table' experience for guests who enjoy being part of the culinary action.

Guest accommodation is arranged across four cabins, including a master suite positioned amidships, accessed via a private staircase from the saloon and spanning the yacht's full 6.2-metre beam.

Available to view by appointment during a two-day open house that coincides with the FLIBS, Well Done will auction in collaboration with listing broker Jerry Gilpin of One Water Yacht Group.

Also at auction will be the 24-metre Ocean Alexander Jusmad, on display at FLIBS and listed for sale with HMY Yacht Sales; the 21.3-metre Johnson Indigo, listed with Gilman Yachts, which has never been owned or used and will also be on display at FLIBS; and the 12.8-metre Buddy Davis Tales N Ales, listed with HMY Yacht Sales.
