Italian yard Baglietto has begun construction on a 40 metre fully custom superyacht.
Featuring exterior design by Horacio Bozzo, the all-aluminium yacht is scheduled for a 2020 delivery to an American owner.
Baglietto has revealed the first rendering of the yacht, which it says shows the “sporty, elegant character” of the project.
The interior design brief meanwhile has been handed to Achille Salvagni.
Baglietto chief executive Michele Gavino said the yard was “very proud” of the project.
“It represents another step towards the constructive excellence, which is the main goal of all our efforts and again a demonstration of the shipyard’s intention to keep pursuing technical innovation and developing our naval engineering capabilities,” he added.
Baglietto has a total of five yachts under construction at its La Spezia shipyard; a 43 metre Fast Line HT, a 55 metre Francesco Paszkowski designed yacht due for completion this year, a 54 metre also designed by Bozzo and a third 48 metre model due for a 2020 delivery.
