Custom Line launches latest unit in Navetta 30 series named Gindungo

21 March 2024 • Written by Dea Jusufi

Custom Line, a brand of Ferretti Group, has launched the sixteenth unit in its Navetta 30 series. The 28.4-metre has been christened Gindungo by her owner, who is based in the EMEA region.

The name is meant to "conjure up the energy and vibrancy of the Angolan chilli pepper, a symbol of excellence and good fortune." Filippo Salvetti is responsible for the model's exterior lines while ACPV Architects, Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel are the team behind the interior architecture.

Gindungo's four-deck layout is designed around "moments of conviviality and relaxation", with large, glazed surfaces in the hull and over two-metre-high decks. Accommodation is across five cabins, with interiors incorporating "surprising [design] notes" such as carbon detailing and custom claddings for a "sporty-chic" look.

Other materials used include nubuck leather, American walnut, Calacatta Gold and Sahara Noir marble, quartz and silver grey beola stone. A pale, neutral colour palette is punctuated by different shades of green, used intermittently throughout several cabins.

Gindungo is expected to reach a maximum speed of 14.5 knots.

According to BOATPro, Custom Line has 15 yachts currently under construction.
