Good news arrived this weekend with the announcement of a new order at Delta Marine, a massive one with a length of 66 metres. This new project will become the second largest yacht ever built by the American yard after the 73m Laurel built in 2006.
Ordered by an American owner, this superyacht is known under her hull number for the moment, 211-042. Built with an ice strengthened steel hull and a composite superstructure, she is designed by Delta Design with an interior by Diane Johnson Design. Her profile is elegant and classic, distributed over four decks. She will accommodates 14 guests in seven cabins. The master suite will on the upper deck, facing the sea, while six double cabins will be on the main deck.
Michelle Jones, Marketing Manager of the yard, commented: "Special features on the exterior include a fold down beach cabana at the stern, and a pool on the sundeck. The interior will have expansive windows, grand foyers and stairwells, a gymnasium and a theatre."
The Delta 211-042 will be powered by twin Caterpillar 3516 engines giving a top speed of 16.8 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
The delivery of hull 211-042 is expected in 2013.
