US yard Delta Marine has taken the opportunity of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show to unveil the 47.5-metre Project Discovery. The "wellness-focused" custom build was sold by Kent Harrington of Edmiston and is already under construction. She will be available for charter once delivered.
The interiors are courtesy of Amsterdam-based Dasha Moranova, who "truly enjoyed" the design process. "[Project Discovery] offers the perfect balance between an active lifestyle and pure relaxation," Moranova explained. "Mornings can begin with a workout, a cold plunge, or time in the sauna, followed by catching fresh fish for lunch – which can be measured and weighed right on our ‘smart deck’ before being grilled outdoors."
Accommodation is for up to 12 guests in five cabins, including a VIP suite that can combine two cabins for double charter principals, and a children’s cabin for family flexibility. The customisable layout continues in the sky lounge, which has a pullout sofa, full bath and closet to house additional guests. Interior design combines "refined finishes with a comfortable, residential atmosphere", opting for an "organic" colour palette, custom lighting and curated tableware.
The studio also worked to enhance Project Discovery's indoor-outdoor connection, chiefly through the use of sustainable, durable deck materials that create a "tactile flow of textures underfoot". Other materials used include light and dark woods, natural stone and seaglass.
One of the most distinctive spaces on board is the lazarette, which is designed as both a utility hub and a wellness retreat. The area is outfitted with a sauna, a cold plunge tub, full dive equipment, paddleboards, scuba gear and coolers for fresh catches.
The sundeck continues the theme of activity and wellness with sunpads, a grill and an inflatable slide, while the bridge features an outdoor table for twelve guests.
A dedicated outdoor gym, located between the bridge and the Sea Doos, "brings fitness into the natural environment" with panoramic views.
According to BOATPro, Delta Marine has two superyachts projects under construction, one of which is the 46.3-metre Project Zembra.
