Dixon Yacht Design unveils 39m catamaran with flexible upper deck

UK-based studio Dixon Yacht Design has unveiled a 39-metre power catamaran, Aristo, designed with a flexible upper deck, allowing exploration for a multitude of uses.

At 499GT, the full-aluminium design combines a striking orange twin hull with an expansive upper deck which, according to the yard, is capable of accommodating a helicopter, watersports equipment or even a basketball area.

Spanning the 13.6-metre beam, Aristo holds a generous main saloon, designed to be close to the waterline, allowing the space to be framed by the surrounding sea through panoramic windows. A contemporary colour palette of soft beiges and light wood – showcased through minimal, low-profile furniture – creates a calming atmosphere on board.

The yacht features a 2.5-metre draught for shallow water cruising

Al fresco living is a key design focus across the decks, featuring a host of amenities to keep guests entertained. On the main deck, a spa pool sits furthest aft to benefit from uninterrupted views; paired with sunpads and seating areas, the space creates a dedicated relaxation hub on board. Nearby, a large al fresco dining table and a bar lie beneath the upper deck overhang.

Up on the flybridge, another al fresco dining area crowns the yacht, paired with a bar and a second spa pool to offer an alternative lounging space.

Accommodation is across four guest cabins within the hulls and two main-deck VIP cabins, which can be combined to form one large owner's suite. Alongside this, there is space for eight crew members in four cabins.

Power for Aristo is provided by twin 1,300hp Scania D116 engines, expected to deliver a 13.5-knot cruising speed and 16-knot maximum speed.

Last month, the British studio lifted the lid on OXO, a 48.3-metre motor yacht born from the desire to "rethink efficiency through a sailing yacht lens".
