Fourth 50m Mangusta 165 REV launched in Viareggio

25 February 2026 • Written by Emily Dawkins

The fourth unit from the Mangusta 165 REV series has been launched from the Overmarine Group shipyard in Viareggio, Italy. The 49.9-metre now joins sisterships N1, No Rush and Perfetto on the water.

The 165 REV superyacht was sold in January 2023 and will be delivered to her owner in April, according to BOATPro. Following her delivery, she will cruise the Mediterranean and will also be available for charter

The model is the flagship of Mangusta's Maxi Open line and is characterised by impressive speed, with four 2,600hp Rolls Royce engines and a Kongsberg Kamewa water-jet propulsion system topping out at 35 knots.

The Mangusta 165 REV also distinguishes itself with its large aft beach club. Conceived as a "true lounge on the sea", the space incorporates an additional sheltered area for relaxing close to the water. A side garage also offers room for a six-metre water-jet tender and two jet skis.

Exterior design is owed to Lobanov Design, who teamed up with Overmarine's technical department to "reinterpret the classic profile" of Mangusta's open yachts in a more dynamic style. The interiors of this unit are fully-custom (as on every Mangusta build) and have been penned by the yard's in-house design team in collaboration with designer Marcello Pianosi POM home.

Volumes inside have been arranged for bright and airy interiors with floor-to-ceiling glazed surfaces offering a continuity between the inside and the out. The main saloon is a prime example, and it also features side fold-down balconies to increase the space (and views) over the water.

Accommodation is across six cabins, including a 92-square-metre main-deck master suite which resides over two levels, and a full-beam VIP on the lower deck. Meanwhile, an al fresco lounge can be found at the bow, arranged with sofas, sunpads and a Jacuzzi. The sundeck is fitted with a bar area and further sofa seating.

BOAT International previously stepped on board the first unit in the series, N1.
