Gulf Craft sets launch date for flagship yacht Majesty 175
Speaking at the Cannes Yachting Festival, recently appointed chief executive Gregory Yeakle revealed that the flagship is set to launch in the second half of 2019.
It comes after the yacht, which will feature naval architecture by Massimo Gregori, began construction on speculation last year.
The yacht was first revealed by former chief executive Erwin Bamps at the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show.
He previously said: “The Majesty 175 is the first megayacht for us – it’s part of an effort we are doing, driven by the demand of an existing clientele that says: ‘We trust you guys.’ They believe more in us than we sometimes believe in ourselves."
In a first for Gulf Craft, the interior styling will come courtesy of Italian designer Cristiano Gatto, with an emphasis on substantial lounging and entertaining areas.
“Yacht design is at the forefront of what I do, but, by virtue of my experience as a sculptor, I approach each and every project as a sculpture, with the overall design in mind but refining it to the smallest detail,” Gatto previously said.
It is understood that the Majesty 175 will be comprised of a composite hull and superstructure, encompassing a total interior volume in excess of 500GT, and the layout will include a superyacht beach club.
The Dubai based yard also used the occasion of the Cannes Yachting Festival to present the Majesty 125 Altavita and Majesty 100 Svetlana.
