Exclusive: GX Superyachts reveals new GX38 Voyager at Monaco Yacht Show

GX Superyachts, the new brand from hybrid boatbuilders Greenline Yachts, has announced a new explorer-oriented model known as the GX38 Voyager. Announced exclusively to BOAT International during the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show, the hybrid model marks a shift towards expedition yachting in all weather conditions.

Italian designer Marco Casali has returned to design both the exterior and interior of the GX38 Voyager, having been responsible for the brand's existing 34, 42 and 56-metre models.

The new model is in keeping with the brand's philosophy of responsible yachting, with the GX38 Voyager promising to lower carbon emissions by as much as 30 per cent (compared to conventional diesel power) using GX Superyachts' proprietary hybrid propulsion system.

The hull on the GX38 Voyager has been fortified to suit polar climates – a rare feature on all-aluminium builds – while optional Azimuth pod drives offer enhanced manoeuvrability and operating efficiency at sea. The yacht also comes with the option of an "ultra-wide" nine-metre beam – on top of an already generous 8.2-metre beam – for increased living space.

“It has been a very rewarding process to work so closely with the experienced GX Superyachts team in developing the brief and design for a capable explorer yacht,” said Casali. “Starting from the assumption that guests would want to spend extended periods on board to reach remote cruising grounds, the GX38 Voyager includes generous tankage, food storage and lots of space for belongings, from clothing to water toys. Similarly, long periods aboard require us to pay a lot of attention to levels of comfort and service.”

Accommodations are offered in either a five or six-cabin layout, including a main-deck owner's suite with VIP cabins below and further room for up to six crew.

Onboard highlights include a firepit at the centre of the foredeck lounge, along with an extended aft deck housing a comfortable seating area, a Jacuzzi and ample storage for tenders and toys. The yacht can also be fitted with a crow's nest under the mast for unparalleled views of the surrounding environment.

The GX38 Voyager can reach speeds of up to 16 knots, with a maximum range of 10,000 nautical miles at six knots in hybrid navigation mode.

“GX Superyachts is delighted to have unveiled the GX38 Voyager, which is the fruit of months of work with a very motivated client,” said founder Vladimir Zinchenko. “It extends our unique commitment to responsible yachting into the adventure sector for the first time, with a yacht that is equally capable of heading to high latitudes or remote areas – all in exceptional comfort.”

GX Superyachts is currently progressing towards the delivery of its first yacht, a GX42, which is under construction at SES Yachts' facilities in Tuzla. The yard has recently begun outfitting parts of the vessel, currently slated for delivery in the summer of 2026.
