Latest Horizon FD85s yacht sold and in build

The 18th unit in the Horizon FD85s semi-custom yacht series has been sold with Pierre Badin of Denison Yachting Monaco introducing the buyer. The 26-metre yacht is already in build at the Taiwanese-based shipyard, sold to a client seeking a yacht tailored to their family’s lifestyle and personal preferences which prioritise outdoor entertaining.

Cor D. Rover is responsible for the model's design, which was created to be "purposely open to interpretation" and guided by the owner's vision. As a result, hull 18 of the series emphasises family-focused amenities, expanded al fresco entertaining, and modular spaces to evolve with the owner’s needs.

A notable customisation includes the convertible 10-seater dining table on the main deck aft which opens into the unusual aft-positioned galley via sliding glass doors. Generous social spaces and open-plan living were key considerations throughout the unit's design, with the yacht's meal preparation, dining, and lounging areas penned to be seamlessly connected to allow guests to circulate freely during gatherings.

The cockpit can be used for angling, yet has been designed with a broader focus on leisure, with plenty of storage for water toys. Other custom highlights on board include the fold-down transom, intended for easy access for the owner’s grandchildren to swim and play, a hot tub on the bow, and a reinforced boat deck which is now a custom helipad.

“This project is a perfect example of what makes the FD85s series so special,” said Badin. “It’s a yacht that combines volume, efficiency, and flexibility in a way that perfectly suits active families who want to enjoy life on the water without compromise.”

Accommodation on board is arranged in a four-stateroom layout, including an on-deck, full-beam master suite. Two VIP cabins are situated amidships below deck, nearby to a versatile forward VIP with a V-berth that can be converted into a double bed. There are two crew cabins positioned aft of the engine room.

According to BOATPro, Horizon currently has four yachts on order or under construction, the largest of which is the latest unit from the yard's 31-metre FD100 series.
