KRC Yachting unveils 36m "new-generation" superyacht concept Opera

2 February 2026 • Written by Emily Dawkins

Turkish builder KRC Yachting has unveiled a new 36-metre superyacht concept, known as Opera.

The design comes as the latest addition to the firm's KRC series, developed as a "new-generation" steel and aluminium displacement yacht. Italian designer Gabriele Teruzzi has collaborated with the yard for both the exterior and interior design.

Balancing "elegant exterior design, engineering efficiency and a warm, highly livable onboard atmosphere", the project has been curated to reflect the evolving expectations of modern yacht owners - seeking a custom-level experience within a structured and efficient build framework.

As a result, Opera follows a flexible design concept, rather than a conventional series build, allowing for high levels of customisation according to the owner's lifestyle. This being said, the presented design has been drawn with particular attention given to spatial comfort and flowing interior volumes.

A notable highlight on board is the glass-fronted dip pool on the aft deck, which is overlooked by large sunpads and an expansive lounge space with fold-down bulwarks. On the same deck, curved glass opens to reveal a circular dining area – now al fresco – with a bright and refined seating area forward.

Above, the upper deck offers further lounge spaces, both on deck and inside, while the sundeck up top is complete with an al fresco dining space, bar and sun loungers. Forward of the main deck lies an elevated hot tub with seating. There is also a garage for one tender on board, though this space can be converted into an interior beach club if desired.

Accommodation is presented for 10 across four guest suites and a generous owner's suite on the main deck, though the yard noted that the upper deck saloon could be designed as the owner’s suite if preferred. Further quarters accommodate a crew of seven, including the captain, across three twin crew cabins and one dedicated captain's cabin.

Propulsion is currently proposed via twin MAN 800hp D2868 L425 diesel engines, set to provide a 14-knot top speed, a 12-knot cruising speed and a range of 4,800 nautical miles-plus. An upgraded package of twin 1000hp Caterpillar C18 Acert engines or twin 1200hp MAN D2868 LE436 engines is also offered if desired.

Key specs include a sub-400GT volume, a beam of eight metres and a draught of 2.45 metres.

According to the builder, completion and delivery of Opera are scheduled within 24 months of contract signing.
