Italian superyacht design studio Nauta Design has unveiled a hybrid 54 metre yacht concept named 54m Wide.
Built from steel and aluminium, the yacht features accommodation for a total of 16 guests in eight ensuite cabins inside an 860GT interior.
Combining “sleek and simple styling”, the yacht’s interior layout, which takes advantage of the wide 11 metre beam, makes the design “different from any other in its class”.
The diesel-electric propulsion system is located on the under-lower deck, freeing up space on the lower deck to include six ensuite cabins. Owners have the option to transform one of these cabins into a gym and spa. The crew mess, laundry and accommodation are also found on the lower deck.
The remaining guest cabins – the 75 sqm master suite and the VIP suite are both positioned on the main deck, alongside the galley, 78 sqm main saloon and dining room. Aft, double stairs lead down to the swim platform.
Cabins for both the captain and first officer are located on the upper deck, as well as a ship’s office directly behind the wheelhouse. The skylounge is described as an “intimate chill-out zone” while the 137 sqm sundeck above features a hot tub, loungers, bar, barbecue and al fresco dining area.
Extensive work has already been completed on the design, with naval architecture penned by Francesco Rogantin's studio Names and initial engineering already complete.
