The firm behind global rental platform boaststers.com hoped to find out by spending the summer working from the Pershing 88 yacht Anouschka & Ronny 8, which they used as a yacht office.
Managing partner Raoul Milhado was keen to explore how the yachting lifestyle could benefit his team and owner Roberto Vazquez was happy to help, having listed his yacht for charter through boatsters.com for a number of years.
After spending more than three months sleeping, working and eating on board in the Med, the company reported a 20% increase in productivity, inspired by the stunning surroundings, while the proximity to key clients was also good for business.
Anouschka & Ronny 8 cruised from her base in Mallorca to all the Balearic Islands as well as exploring the French and Italian Riviera, making good use of her 36-knot cruising speed along the way.
The yacht was adapted to suit her use as an office with one of the double bedrooms on board used as a breakout working space. Meanwhile, the lower saloon and upper saloon, were regularly requisitioned as meeting rooms and the foredeck sunbathing area was designated as the creative meeting space.
As the Med season draws to a close, Milhado adds that the company enjoyed their experience of working from a yacht office so much that they plan to continue this experiment on the other side of the Atlantic during the winter season.
