Young Dubai-based shipyard Romeo Marine has unveiled new images of its debut superyacht, the 54.4-metre Romeo 55. The yard shared further details and offered a first look inside the new build at this year's Monaco Yacht Show, simultaneously announcing that she has completed sea trials and is ready for delivery to her owner.
Designed and built almost entirely in-house, with interiors penned by Pulina Exclusive Design Studio, the yacht first hit the water last September. She's currently on the market with Burgess, asking $35,000,000.
New images reveal a "seductive" ultra-luxe Italian interior style inspired by a private Mediterranean coastal villa. Curved, sculptural details pair with a light, contemporary colour palette that emphasises the sea, sky, and coastlines visible through floor-to-ceiling windows.
A sophisticated combination of Mahogany veneer, bespoke parquet flooring, natural marbles and stones, and carefully selected leathers and metallic finishes creates an atmosphere of contemporary luxury.
Extensive glass has been used throughout her interiors. The full-beam owner's suite on the main deck, for example, was conceived as a private waterfront residence and features a double-height deck-head with a skylight, plus a contemporary owner's study, sleeping quarters with his-and-hers en suite and drop-down balconies on both sides of the yacht.
Accommodation is for up to 12 guests across six double cabins, including a VIP cabin on the lower deck, each with en suite shower rooms. Crew are housed across five twin cabins with en suite shower rooms, including a captain's double suite.
Her main deck space boasts an interior dining table set forward in the saloon, connected to the aft seating area but separated by a low, curvaceous sideboard.
The upper deck saloon serves as the vessel's main social environment, seamlessly connected to the upper deck aft for a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere when dining and entertaining. A dedicated bar, games table and a concealed TV further enrich this space.
A central feature is a sculptural staircase that snakes around a glass elevator, providing easy movement between decks and creating a welcoming statement piece upon arrival.
Up on her sundeck, guests can enjoy an aft spa pool and sun pads, a dedicated fitness area, a cinema setup and a bar. Cementing the open-air feeling is a panoramic sky lounge with a large opening skylight.
Alessandro Pulina, founder of Pulina Exclusive Design Studio, explained: “The Romeo 55 was conceived as a sanctuary at sea; a place where architecture, craftsmanship and nature coexist in perfect harmony, allowing guests to feel simultaneously protected, inspired and connected to the world around them.”
Boasting an impressive 780GT, the yacht is powered by twin MTU main engines to a maximum speed of 15 knots, while throttling back to 10 knots delivers a 5,200-nautical-mile cruising range. Four zero-speed stabilisers ensure smooth, stable passages.
During MYS, the shipyard also announced that construction of the first unit from its flagship 60-metre model, Romeo 60, is well underway, with hull one set to launch in 24 months. The second unit will also enter construction soon, following a 38-month schedule.
