Sanlorenzo signs contract for fourth 50X-Space yacht model

10 November 2025 • Written by Dea Jusufi

The fourth hull in Sanlorenzo's 50 X-Space yacht series has been sold, with Jan Jaap Minnema of Fraser representing the buyer. The brokerage firm will also be responsible for this latest unit's project management, which is scheduled for delivery in 2028.

The 50 X-Space hit the headlines during this year's boot Düsseldorf, when the Italian yard revealed it would install the world's first bi-fuel green methanol propulsion system, developed in collaboration with MAN Engines, on the first unit in the series. Italian studio Zuccon International Project is responsible for the exterior design, including strong lines, slanted glazing and the forward-heavy build characteristic of explorer yachts.

Accommodation is for up to 12 guests across six cabins, with a 499GT volume housing a lower-deck beach club and gym, formal dining for 12 guests and a skylounge complete with sit-up bar and aft-facing sofa seating. Of particular note is the expansive aft deck, which serves as an "open-air living room" connected to the main saloon and extended through folding balconies.

The model is expected to reach a 16-knot maximum speed and a cruising speed of 12.5 knots. Other key specs include a 9.3-metre beam and a draft of 2.96 metres.

According to BOATPro, Sanlorenzo has a staggering 46 superyacht projects on order or actively under construction, the largest of which is three Sanlorenzo 74Steel units.
