Stella del Sud: 110m superyacht concept unveiled

The 110 metre yacht concept Stella del Sud has been unveiled by Italian studio Gabriele Teruzzi Yachts & Design with technical engineering input from Andrea Agrusta of NavalHEAD.

Inspired by the structure and light patterns created by diamonds, the distinctive concept borrows its name from the famous 128-carat Cartier diamond, “Star of the South”

The yacht offers plenty of space for alfresco living, with a long open beach club that spans 300 square metres and measures an impressive 23 metres long. A split-level design allows for three integrated swimming pools connected by a waterfall.

Elsewhere, the yacht is home to a 300 square metre sun deck composed of two separate connected areas; one boasts a Jacuzzi and lounge area, while the area offers a prime position for meals.

Rest and relaxation is taken care of on board Stella del Sud, with a full-beam wellness area that comprises a beauty and massage room, a gym, sauna and steam room. There is also a multifunctional room called the Aqua Room, which offers an American-style bar, a Jacuzzi, and relaxing beds.

The concept also features shell doors which create twin terraces that cover 30 square metres each, allowing the wellness area to be completely connected to the water.

Gabriele Teruzzi, of the eponymous design studio, describes the interior styling as “engaging, distinctive [with] organic shapes”. “The spaces have been arranged to remain suitable for a glamorous party or to relax with a drink. The interior also features innovative solutions, such as the double-height main saloon, overlooking the sea,” Teruzzi continued.

Other highlights include a foredeck swimming pool with a helipad further forward, plus a waterfall feature on the interior.

The concept is also home to a piano lounge and cinema.

The superyacht concept has a total of nine guest cabins, including an owner's deck occupying the majority of the bridge deck. It features his and her bathrooms which each have their own Jacuzzis and spa table wave with salt-wall.

Panels, which were hand-drawn by Teruzzi, are flanked by mirrors and feature light wood inlays and hammered gold detailing.

However, the star of the owner's cabin is an aquarium by Melik on the overhead. It has been designed to promote a “feeling of personal well-being, creating a relaxed and calm environment for the owner”.

The concept is currently listed as “reserved for Lürssen”, according to the designer’s website.
