Mangusta Yachts has revealed a 44 metre “ultra-modern sea loft” superyacht model named the Oceano 44.

Presented during a virtual press conference, the new model is the “spiritual successor to [previous model] Mangusta Oceano 43,” according to president of Mangusta Americas, Stefano Arlunno.

Penned inside and out by designer Alberto Mancini in collaboration with Overmarine’s in-house design team, the Oceano 44 will be constructed in steel and aluminium.

“The Mangusta Oceano 44 is a full combination of glass, charm and audacity,” Arlunno added. “A new global icon has just been born.”

Design highlights include two infinity pools; one on the 104 sqm sun deck and a larger one placed on the foredeck.

Speaking about the foredeck’s pool, Arlunno said: “This area is called the island because there is a lounging area surrounded by water accessible by a stainless-steel bridge.”

Other onboard features include a transom on the aft beach club which, alongside unfolding balconies to port and starboard, increase the area by 70 sqm.

“The focus point with this new model was connecting the interior and exterior areas,” said Arlunno. “This was achieved by the use sliding doors and full height windows on each deck, creating an endless yacht.”

This is seen in the saloon area which can be opened on three sides through sliding doors, and the master cabin’s large skylights that look up at the infinity pool.

“We emphasised the perception of infinity on every deck,” said designer Alberto Mancini. “My team in Monaco were particularly inspired by sea front villas.”

The 467 GT yacht is set to have a top speed of 16 knots and range of 4500 nautical miles at 11 knots.
