Lynx Yachts welcomes international brokers in the Netherlands

14 May 2018

Dutch builder Lynx Yachts recently hosted 12 of the industry’s top brokers for a visit to its shipyard in Nijkerk.

The trip gave Lynx the opportunity to showcase its facilities, as well as the 27.1 metre YXT 24 Evolution yacht currently in build, to representatives from brokerage firms including Edmiston, YPI, Fraser, Floating Life, Y.CO, Camper & Nicholsons, TWW Yachts, Burgess and Van der Vliet Quality Yachts.

The group were given a sneak preview of the in-build YXT 24 Evolution

Unusually, no official itinerary was given to the guests before their arrival and Lynx took the opportunity to try and surprise these industry veterans with a series of unconventional activities.

Upon arrival at Amsterdam airport, Filippo Rossi, sales and marketing manager at Lynx, received the guests and thus their adventure began. First up was lunch at the magnificent International Golf Club, where the group enjoyed a spectacular view of the green in an exclusive private dining area.

After lunch Lynx offered a corporate presentation with a twist - showcasing its shipyard, vision, philosophy, yachts and future projects in the enchanting setting of the library at the Landgoued Castle in Salentein.

Guests were taught to make perfect Italian pasta

The evening saw a celebration of the perfect blend between Italian passion and Dutch precision with a sublime dinner by an exceptional chef. Filippo Rossi took the guests under his wing and taught them how to prepare a perfect Italian pasta while they acted as his sous chefs.

The following morning the brokers visited the yard and had the opportunity to step on board the YXT 24 Evolution which is currently under construction. The build is on schedule and delivery is expected by the end of July 2018 before she will be officially debuted at the Monaco Yacht Show.

The brokers were given the opportunity to dive deep into Lynx's upcoming projects

The morning continued in the shipyard’s offices with guests invited to probe Lynx’s management about and discover more information on future Lynx projects. The adventure finished with a final surprise: a traditional lunch on a cruise boat along the magic canals of Amsterdam.

The successful two days event gave this group of international industry experts the opportunity to learn more about Lynx Yachts, its team, its projects and its style. It also proved the perfect occasion to sample the Italian side of Lynx combined with its Dutch spirit in a relaxed, convivial atmosphere.
