With the MYBA Charter Show set to return on 27-30 April 2026, BOAT brings you all the key information you need to know ahead of the event.
Each year, the MYBA Charter Show marks the start of the Mediterranean yachting season, showcasing some of the most coveted yachts on the charter market to leading charter professionals. The 2026 edition returns to its birthplace at Portosole Marina in Sanremo, Italy, where the show launched 36 years ago. This year's event features enhanced amenities, including dedicated work and relaxation spaces, meeting rooms, a hospitality lounge, expanded seminar facilities, plus sea shuttles running between the docks and a land shuttle between the two entrances.
Nicknamed the City of Flowers, Sanremo offers a picturesque setting for industry professionals to network and prepare for the busy charter season, and the event is embracing a floral theme in tribute to its host city. Beyond the show, visitors can explore the city's many attractions, including the famed casino and vibrant flower market.
"The MYBA Charter Show remains one of the most important gatherings in our industry, bringing together leading yachts, brokers and professionals in a welcoming and well-organised environment," says MYBA board member and chair of the MYBA Charter Show Panel Gunes Aysun. "Sanremo offers the right balance of tradition and practicality, while allowing us to continue refining the experience for exhibitors and brokers alike. Our focus remains on quality over quantity, ensuring the show delivers real value to all participants."
The coolest charter yachts on display
Ranging from 16 to 85 metres in length, the MYBA Charter Show will present some of the best charter yachts currently on the market. Amongst the standout vessels is the classically styled 85-metre Gigia, the largest yacht in attendance, and the 56-metre expedition yacht Blue II, both represented by Burgess.
Several recently refitted yachts will be on display, including 60-metre Eleni (IYC), the 50.6-metre motor sailer Aresteas (Royal Yacht International), 46-metre Thunder (Y.CO) and 40-metre Le Verseau (TWW Yachts).
Meanwhile, a few World Superyacht Awards nominees are also on the lineup, including 55.2-metre Raja² (IYC) and 32.1-metre Lady Luna (Ocean Independence).
A host of fresh-out-the-box yachts launched within the past year will also be in attendance, including 60-metre Alva (Christie Yachts), the 26.6-metre Sanlorenzo Tell No One (Ocean Independence) and 25.2-metre Blue Eyes (Silver Star Yachting).
Eight sailing yachts will also be in attendance, including the 50.5-metre Oguz Khan (Ocean Independence), 39.2-metre Vaimiti (Ocean Independence) and 32.9-metre Heritage M (West Coast International).
The MYBA Superyacht Chefs' Competition
Visitors and crews will be thrilled to know that the beloved annual MYBA Superyacht Chefs' Competition will return to the MYBA Charter Show 2026. This year, superyacht chefs are invited to showcase their culinary creativity under the theme 'A Flower Feast for Breakfast' - a celebration of the host city's renowned floral heritage.
The challenge is to create three breakfast dishes, sweet or savoury, that could be served on three different days of a charter. The chefs will be judged on originality, choice of ingredients, flavour, presentation, technique and overall impression.
The MYBA Superyacht Chefs' Competition has reached full capacity this year, with a waiting list now in place.
The Tablescaping Competition
Alongside the chefs' competition, the interior crews will face their own challenge, designing a floral breakfast table setting.
Their goal is to complement the chefs' dishes with beautiful spring flower arrangements that flourish throughout the region. The crew will be evaluated on the accuracy of their table setting, attention to detail, alignment with the theme and overall impression.
All Hands On Deck Competition
The 2026 edition will feature the return of the All Hands On Deck Competition, designed to showcase the crew's resourcefulness and creativity, offering them the chance to put their talents on display as a selling point for charters.
The focus will be on keeping charter guests entertained during unfavourable weather and conditions - a fantastic opportunity for the crew to prepare for the upcoming season and prove they can bring their A game to work, no matter the weather.
Designer Water Competition
Following many years of success and its debut at last year's MYBA Charter Show, the CYBA Designer Water Competition returns in 2026. The competition aims to celebrate the exceptional quality of water produced on board, showcase the creativity of yacht chefs and stews, and demonstrate simple, effective ways to eliminate single-use plastic water bottle waste.
Crew are challenged to prepare a flavoured water infused with flowers of their choice, using water produced by the onboard watermaker or filtration system, or from large reusable water containers if neither option is available. The water must be served in reusable glasses, with no single-use plastic permitted anywhere.
Networking opportunities
The 2026 show once again promises a lineup of exclusive events aimed at fostering connections within the yacht charter community. The festivities begin at Villa Nobel with the Captains' Dinner on 26 April, followed by the Exhibitors' Party Evening on 27 April and the Show Opening Cocktail at Victory Morgana on 28 April. Wednesday 29 April will feature the invitation-only Yacht Party Night and the show will close with a Boho & Bouquets-themed Thank You to the Crew event at Victory Morgana on 30 April.
