Amico & Co invests €1M in solar power infrastructure

Amico & Co, a superyacht refit and maintenance yard based in Genoa, has installed a one-million-euro photovoltaic system with enough capacity to produce 53 per cent of the facility's annual energy consumption requirements from renewable sources.

The on-site system occupies an area greater than 4,300 square metres, extending over the roofs of the shipyard's hangars, offices and marina buildings. At maximum power, an array of 1,782 individual solar panels will be able to deliver an output of one MWp.
