Baglietto opens new Singapore office with Monaco Yachts Asia

6 September 2023 • by Gabrielle Lazaridis

Italian shipyard Baglietto has partnered with Monaco Yachts Asia to open a new representative office in Singapore, continuing the brand's eastward expansion in search of new markets.

The new location will be led by Alvin Chua of Monaco Yachts Asia, and will also function as a qualified servicing outlet for Baglietto clients in the area. According to CCO Fabio Ermetto, Baglietto has long considered entering into Asia but had been waiting for the correct set of circumstances.

"We wanted to find a partner capable of developing and promoting our brand on a market that is considerably far and different from ours," Ermetto explained. "Alvin Chua, from Monaco Yachts Asia, surely has the experience and expertise to help us achieve this important objective."

Already with branded offices in Australia, Brazil and the Dominican Republic, the move represents Baglietto's continued global success, with a production schedule extending all the way into 2026.

The yard is also set to debut its first T52 hybrid-propulsion yacht at next week's Cannes Yachting Festival, having already sold nine units. According to BOATPro, Baglietto currently has five more T52 hulls under construction, as well as a new 40-metre DOM133 model.
