The 2025 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show began under stormy skies, with the tail end of Hurricane Melissa bringing torrential rain and flooding to the quays. Yet, despite the soggy start, the weather did little to deter serious buyers.
“Clients are used to heavy rains - they come anyway,” said Giordano Pellacani, chief commercial officer of Ferretti Group, which took home two prizes at the ISS Design & Leadership Awards during the show.
