Island Global Yachting (IGY Marinas) has announced the development of a new marina in Savannah, Georgia, branded IGY Savannah Harbor Marina. The marina is being developed in partnership with Savannah Harbor Partners LLC with completion scheduled for spring 2025.
Located five miles from the Intracoastal Waterway, IGY Savannah Harbor Marina will feature 100 berths "for vessels of all sizes". This includes over 304.8 linear metres to accommodate superyachts with a deep draught. Amenities encompass fuelling, shore power, parking and marina concierge services, provided by Myrick Marine Contracting Corporation.
The marina will belong to Savannah Harbor's mixed-use development programme, which features the recently completed Emma James apartments by Woodfield Development, in addition to a park, restaurants and retail shops. A signature waterfront restaurant is also planned.
"We are excited to be involved in this wonderful project and a catalyst of nautical tourism in this thriving area. The opportunity to develop and operate IGY Savannah Harbor Marina means we will deliver the highest levels of service to our global clientele in this incredible destination," said IGY Marinas president Steve English.
"IGY Marinas is a global leader in the maritime community, and we welcome their expertise and brand recognition. The marina will be a focal point of the development and enhance the service offerings of this incomparable area,” added John Cay, principal of Savannah Harbor Partners LLC.
The news comes after it was announced that IGY Marinas would be partnering with NEOM in Saudi Arabia, to develop and eventually operate a new superyacht marina within the project's Sindalah region.
