Global refit, repair and maintenance company MB92 Group has released its third industry insight report, which highlights the need for greater regulation and environmental assessment across the superyacht industry's vast supply chain if it is to meet sustainability targets.
Based on a survey of MB92's supply network and key stakeholders, the report found that many industry players feel they are "flying blind" when it comes to enacting efforts towards sustainability. Among other issues, shipyards and suppliers reported difficulties in proposing sustainable solutions to clients, sourcing sustainable materials and ensuring sustainable manufacturing processes.
