The Boat International America's Cup Superyacht Regatta perpetual trophy

The Boat International America's Cup Superyacht Regatta perpetual trophy

An impressive fleet of sailing superyachts have been racing fast and hard on San Francisco Bay in the first-ever America's Cup Superyacht Regatta, taking place during the lay days of the America's Cup Finals, 9, 11 and 13 September.

In addition for the glory of being crowned winner, the superyachts - split in two divisions, Racing class and Exhibition class - are racing for their own perpetual trophy. The Boat International America's Cup Superyacht Regatta Trophy will go to the owner of the yacht that takes first overall in the Racing Division of the America's Cup Superyacht Regatta during a prize giving held in the America's Cup Park.

Nearly as old as the America's Cup itself, the stunning, antique trophy by Garrard dates back to 1872. The sterling silver gilt two-handed cup with chased Acanthus leaf decoration is engraved with the Italian 'Cativa Sorte Cuor Forte Rompe' - a proverb translating to 'Nothing is impossible to a willing heart.'

The Boat International America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta Trophy is a perpetual trophy that will be made available to the winner of this Cup to present to the winner of the Superyacht Regatta of the 35th America's Cup, wherever it might be held.
