The 33.4-metre Maxi Dolphin sailing yacht Nomad IV has been sold in a deal with Tim Quinlan of Ocean Independence, who represented the buyer and the seller, with thanks to Bernard Gallay and Nicolas Marchand of the joint central agency Bernard Gallay. This sale follows a 10-year period of working with the buyer.
Launched in 2013 by Italian yard Maxi Dolphin, the sailing yacht was built to RINA classification standards from a pre-preg carbon composite hull and superstructure, featuring a striking red hull. French naval architecture studio Finot-Conq provided both the interior and exterior styling for Nomad IV. A highly accomplished racing yacht, she won gold during the RORC Transatlantic 2015.
Cruising comfort is provided by a voluminous interior and a spacious deck layout. Her large saloon features a dining table that can seat eight guests for a relaxed on-board meal and a built-in sofa. The saloon also benefits from panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Accommodation on board is for 12 guests across five en suite cabins, including a master suite, two doubles and two bunk bed cabins. These are all decked with black and white striped floors with pops of colour throughout. Meanwhile, the crew quarters of the yacht can hold up to four members.
The large cockpit with two tables, each capable of seating up to 12, is ideal for relaxed dinners on board, while the ample sunbathing space allows owners and guests to soak up the rays in comfort.
The extensive water toy collection includes two paddleboards, three kayaks, snorkelling equipment, a wakeboard and a Jet Ski. A lifting keel means that she can reach the kind of shallow anchorages that would normally be off-limits to a sailing yacht of this size.
Sloop-rigged, her carbon mast can fly up to 1,400 square metres of 3Di sails, controlled by twin high-performance rudders with chain and cable steering to twin wheels. Auxiliary power comes from a single Yanmar diesel engine that can deliver a maximum cruising range of 3,500 nautical miles, thanks to a total fuel capacity of 4,000 litres.
Nomad IV was last asking POA.
