Explora Journeys, the luxury lifestyle ocean travel brand of the MSC Group, has announced a new partnership with Clarendon Fine Art, one of the world’s leading contemporary art galleries. The pair will curate an exclusive onboard art experience across Explora Journeys' fleet, introducing guests to museum-quality art and purchasing opportunities at sea.
The partnership was officially introduced at a private event hosted at Clarendon’s flagship gallery in Mayfair, London, yesterday (16 October). As such, Clarendon Fine Art has become the first and only concession partner aboard Explora Journeys’ fleet, and is present in the "Galleria d’Arte" on Deck 5 of both Explora I and Explora II.
Guests will encounter rare works from some of the greatest artists of the 20th century, from Picasso to Warhol and Hockney, set alongside "cutting-edge contemporary voices" such as Mr. Brainwash, whose work fuses pop culture, nostalgia and street art, and Sky Portrait Artist of the Year Christian Hook. Every piece of artwork in the Galleria d'Arte is available for purchase, and overnight art rotations will ensure an evolving collection that encourages guests to return and discover new pieces.
"This partnership allows us to expand the cultural dimension of our Journeys in a way that feels both authentic and deeply enriching," said Anna Nash, president of Explora Journeys. "Together with Clarendon Fine Art, we can offer our guests something truly exceptional: the opportunity to engage with and acquire gallery-grade works of art in a sophisticated, private setting – not only in the world’s most captivating destinations, but also at sea."
"This collaboration invites each guest to encounter works that resonate personally, transforming art appreciation into a deeply intimate experience," added Rebecca Ball, CCO of Clarendon Fine Art. "At Clarendon Fine Art, we have curated an onboard setting that is immersive and refined. This partnership marks a milestone in our continued global expansion, building on our growing network of galleries at sea and on land – to bring world-class art closer to guests and collectors around the globe."
Once a piece is selected, Clarendon Fine Art offers a fully managed global delivery service, ensuring each acquisition is handled "with the highest level of care and professionalism".
