Mr Porter Launches New Kingsman Fashion Collection

15 September 2020 • Written by Olivia Michel

To celebrate the upcoming release of Kingsman 3: The King’s Man movie, online fashion retailer Mr Porter has announced the launch of its latest Kingsman “costume to collection” men’s fashion line with the reveal of an exclusive trailer.

The trailer showcases the pieces worn by the actors of the new film and which have inspired the fashion collection. The premiere is currently scheduled for February 26, 2021 and boasts a stellar cast featuring Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans and Daniel Brühl.

The Kingsman fashion brand by Mr Porter was first launched in 2015 to promote the release of the franchise’s first film, and has since produced 12 seasonal collections. The latest collection was produced in collaboration with the Kingsman film director Matthew Vaughn and award-winning costume designer Michele Clapton, as well as with the designers of British heritage fashion brands.

The third instalment of the Kingsman film series has been described as an origin story about the founding of the British secret service, set during the Second World War. Accordingly, clothes in the new fashion line have been inspired by the classic tailoring, durable materials and military detailing of the time period.

Director Matthew Vaughn commented that for the latest collection “we embraced the timehonored materials and heavier weaves of the era, which often hang so much better than modern fabrics. We also incorporated luxury casual wear pieces that embrace the same Kingsman sophistication, but in more every day, wearable styles.”

“Classic tailoring is hard to beat and we wanted to illustrate that no matter what decade you are in, if you step into Kingsman, you will come out looking great” added Vaughn.

Costume Designer Michele Clapton further commented that, through the collection, the film’s costumes have become “viable men’s wear pieces that look as appropriate in the film’s period, as they do in contemporary settings."

The range comprises a total of 170 pieces of apparel, including Turnbull & Asser shirts, Drake’s ties, Deakin & Francis cufflinks and headwear by Lock & Co. Hatters. Additonally, the range features homeware accessories by Higgs & Crick, Smythson of Bond Street and Montblanc. To shop now, click the button below.
