Jarrett Bay Boatworks

Located in Beaufort, N.C., luxury yacht builder Jarrett Bay Boatworks constructs custom, cold-molded wood sportfishing yachts up to 36 metres in length, as well as semi-production composite sportfishers measuring 10.36 metres.

History of Jarrett Bay Boatworks

U.S. luxury yacht builder Jarrett Bay Boatworks was launched in North Carolina in 1986 by sportfishing charter boat captain Randy Ramsey when he built a 15.84M sportfishing yacht to replace his former charter vessel. The success of Ramsey’s new charter sportfishing yacht, Sensation, led him to build custom sportfishing yachts for other professional and tournament anglers. Today, the shipyard has delivered more than 85 sportfishing yachts. Most of these luxury yachts are wholly custom yacht projects designed to meet the owner’s specifications.

Notable Jarrett Bay Boatworks Builds

In 2013, luxury yacht builder Jarrett Bay launched the 23.5M luxury sportfishing yacht Mama Who. Built of cold-molded fir and Okume woods, Mama Who is equipped with twin 16V-2000 MTU diesel engines that give the luxury sportfishing yacht a top speed of 41 knots. Jarrett Bay Boatworks began construction of its 62nd hull and largest yacht to date, a 27.4M sportfishing superyacht in late 2014. The yacht, which the shipyard is building from advanced composites including titanium and carbon fibre, is expected to launch in 2017.
