The 49.6-metre Codecasa motor yacht Away S has been sold with Marco Vandoni of Ocean Independence introducing the seller and Efthimis Karalis of Camper & Nicholsons representing the buyer. The yacht was newly listed for sale in February this year.
Originally delivered in 1991 by Italian shipyard Codecasa, Away S was constructed in steel and aluminium to a complete design from the yard's in-house team. The 49.6-metre combines "classic elegance and modern upgrades" according to her broker: the latter thanks to an extensive refit in 2023 which included a full repaint, overhaul of stabilisers and air-con upgrades.
Away S has been carefully maintained by her only owner, with annual servicing and "no expense spared to keep her in pristine condition."
Accommodation on board is for up to 14 guests in six cabins. The broker noted how, "the volume on board Away S is remarkable and she feels like a much larger yacht": something that is evident throughout her living and entertaining spaces. Notably, her main saloon is wide and open-plan, with warms woods and white soft furnishings creating a cosy ambience.
The exterior decks are equally as spacious: a perfect setting for entertaining friends, with large dining tables on the aft deck and upper deck as well as a sundeck with sunpads for undisturbed lounging.
The yacht is powered by twin Wartsila 6R25 1876hp engines, for a maximum speed of 15 knots and cruising speed of 13.5 knots. She has a range of 3,650 nautical miles at 12 knots, well-suited for long voyages.
Currently lying in Imperia, Italy, Away S was asking €7,900,000 with VAT paid.
