The seventh hull in the Amels Limited Edition 242 range has been sold by Imperial Yachts.

Sold in December 2020, the 74 metre yacht will be built in steel and aluminium to an exterior design by Tim Heywood. The interior meanwhile has been penned by Winch Design. Delivery is scheduled for summer 2022.

The yacht, known as Project Amels 24207, will be the 10th yacht built by Amels in collaboration with Imperial since 2009. It also represents the second Imperial-represented superyacht to be signed by Amels and Damen Yachting during the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking about the sale, Imperial director Julia Stewart said: "This great achievement is the result of hard work, dedication and attention to all details with our esteemed partners at Amels, Damen Yachting, Tim Heywood and Winch Design studios."

Damen Yachting managing director Rose Damen added: “Our latest Amels 242 will have a very experienced project team to complete her. We’re looking forward to working closely with Imperial’s new build team and her crew to ensure she is exactly as the owner imagined when she departs the yard next year.”
