Jim Carro calls to tell us that Allied Marine has just been appointed as exclusive agent for the 36.5m superyacht Scott Free.
Built by American yard Northcoast in 2000, the raised pilothouse yacht provides both smart family cruising and a lot of boat for her size. Featuring light ash wood plus leathers, granite and marble, the custom interior by Jonathan Quinn Barnett has accommodation for eight guests in four state rooms, including a midships master cabin with his and hers baths with glassed-in showers, plus a huge country-style kitchen. The crew area is below and aft of the engine room for maximum privacy.
Entertainment is well catered for on board. In the full-beam salon there's a 46 inch 3D TV with surround-sound as well as a comfortable bar and lounge area, followed by a formal dining forward, also full-beam. Al fresco fun will be on the sun deck with a retractable sunroof, a 62 inch, retractable TV, a barbecue grill and a fire pit.
For more activity, there's an onboard Brownies dive compresser plus a Novurania RIB with 90hp outboard. A large retractable in-water swim platform caters to snorkellers and swimmers.
The MTU DDC 2000 Series V16 provides economical cruising at 16 knots or a top speed of 22 knots. She was built for the west coast seas, so a Naiad MultiSea II Stabiliser keeps everything on the level.
Scott Free is on the market for $3,950,000.
