Sold as recently as July 2022, the 56.4 metre Alloy sailing yacht Salvaje has been listed for sale with Alex Busher and Antonio Yturbe Redo at Edmiston.
Delivered in 2014 as Mondango 3, this aluminium sailing yacht is one of the largest to leave the sheds at New Zealand shipyard Alloy Yachts. Her profile and naval architecture are the work of Dubois Naval Architects and she joins the market following a 2019 refit that included a hull repaint, a new set of 3Di sails and an overhaul of the engines and rigging.
A flexible interior configuration by Reymond Langton can sleep up to 11 guests in five cabins including a full-beam master suite amidships, two doubles and two twins with an additional Pullman berth. Crew quarters are forward and can sleep a staff of 10.
Highlights on board this sailing yacht for sale include a lifting keel allowing cruising in shallow waters, an aft deck spa pool, a climate-controlled cockpit protected by sliding glass side screens and curved glass doors and a swimming platform that unfolds from the starboard topsides. The yacht’s two large tenders can be stowed below the foredeck.
On the main deck, a floor-to-ceiling carved leather 'wall' with glass inserts houses an integrated 103-inch television screen, dividing the lounge area from the dining room. Above, is a 60 square metre flybridge with a spread of sun pads that wrap around the mast and a large seating area offering al fresco dining.
On the technical side, Salvaje has a Southern Spars carbon mast and boom with sails by North Sails, bow and stern TRAC thrusters, twin Northern Lights generators, and a HEM water maker. New 3Di sails (a reacher, blade and staysail) were added to her sail wardrobe in 2021.
She is powered by a single 1,450hp Caterpillar C-32 engine giving a top speed of 14 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 6,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. Under sail, she easily exceeds 16 knots in optimum weather conditions.
Salvaje is asking €29,500,000 and will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show.Read more/11 must-see sailing yachts available to view at the Monaco Yacht Show
