Baglietto motor yacht Ability now for sale with TWW
by Malcolm Maclean
The 40.8 metre motor yacht Ability has changed central agencies and is now listed for sale by David Westwood at Thompson, Westwood & White.
Built in aluminium by Italian yard Baglietto to a design by Tommaso Spadolini, Ability was delivered in 2004 to her original owner, fashion designer Roberto Cavalli, and christened RC. Accommodation in a tasteful interior by Studio Gagliardi is for up to ten guests in five cabins consisting of a master suite on the main deck, two VIP suites below amidships and a double and twin forward, all with entertainment centres and full en suite bathroom facilities.
Ability has a large full-beam saloon on the main deck with comfortable relaxation and dining areas, as well as an additional saloon on the upper deck, featuring a dining table in nacre with chairs decorated in the yacht’s python motif which features throughout the interior.
The top deck features an outdoor cinema where guests can relax after a day of cruising, and there is also an outdoor sofa and table with seating for up to 12 guests to enjoy al fresco dinner parties or lunches. Comprehensively refitted in 2016, this yacht for sale has an excellent charter record and could prove a real investment for a canny buyer.
Twin 3,700hp MTU diesel engines allow for a cruising speed of 21 knots topping out at 28 knots and she is fitted with zero-speed stabilisers.
Currently lying in Athens, Greece, Ability is asking €9,500,000 with VAT paid.
