31 March 2020 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

The 32.06 metre sailing yacht Iemanja has been listed for sale by Fernando Nicholson at Camper & Nicholsons International.

Designed by Ron Holland, she was built in aluminium to ABS class by French yard Chantiers Naval de Biot and delivered in 1989 as a cutter-rigged family cruiser with her most recent refit in 2020. Accommodation is for up to eight guests in four cabins configured as a master and two doubles while forward of the saloon is a further double to be used either for guests or as the captain’s cabin.

Iemanja is asking $1,500,000

The light and airy main saloon has a magnificent maple and rosewood sole.  To port is a large settee with a fully equipped bar forward, and to starboard there is a large dining area.  Located aft is the entertainment centre with a pop-up 42-inch  Sharp television screen.

The enclosed pilothouse is followed by a covered mid cockpit with ample seating and tables for al fresco dining.  A large lazarette in the transom houses the diving equipment and ASEA converter. Under power, her top speed is 12 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 2,000 nautical miles at 10 knots with power coming from a 450hp Caterpillar diesel engine.

She received a complete refit at Composite Works, France, in 2008, and has been continually maintained and upgraded, with another substantial refit in 2017/2018 and further updates in 2019/2020.

Lying in Valencia, Spain, Iemanja is asking $1,500,000.
