The 31.39 metre motor yacht Ava-L, listed for sale by Chris Collins at Ocean Independence, has been sold in an in-house deal.

Built in aluminium by US yard Burger to a design by Don O’Keefe, she was delivered in 1999 and was most recently refitted in 2018. An interior in raised-panel satin-finished cherry wood accommodates up to six guests in three cabins consisting of a master suite, VIP suite and a twin, all with entertainment centres and en suite bathroom facilities. In addition, there are quarters for three crew.

Ava-L was asking $2,495,000

The open-plan main saloon has a lounge area aft fitted with settees, armchairs and coffee tables, a bar and an entertainment centre including a large screen television, while forward is a formal dining area with seating for up to six guests. The open aft deck comes with a table and chairs for alfresco relaxation and the large flybridge offers a helm seat in front of a full instrument panel, upholstered built-in seating, a bar and a forward hard top providing protection from the sun.

Worthy of note is the fact that she was the first Burger yacht to implement the B.A.S.I.C. (Burger Automated Ship’s Information and Control) system. Twin 1,350hp Caterpillar diesel engines give her a cruising speed of 17 knots, topping out at 20 knots, and she is fitted with Koopnautic zero speed stabilisers.

Ava-L was asking $2,495,000.
