The 27.3 metre motor yacht Ruwenzori, listed for sale by Peter Hurzeler at Ocean Independence, has been sold in an in-house deal.
Built in steel by Italian yard C-Boat, Ruwenzori was delivered in 2011 as a full displacement yacht built to the same standards as an ocean going tug. A sturdy and stable hull make her capable of coping with high seas and poor weather conditions. However, she has the sumptuous interior of a luxury yacht, accommodating 10 guests in five generous cabins. These consist of a master suite, VIP suite, a double and two twins, all with en suite bathroom facilities. There are also quarters for three crew.
An expansive saloon with light wood panelling has a lounge area aft with a U-shaped seating area to starboard while to port forward is a formal dining area for 10 guests in cream upholstered chairs and more settees. The aft deck is suitably arranged for al fresco entertaining and dining including a large table with 10 custom chairs.
Up on the flybridge is a helm station, seating and a table, all dedicated to more outdoor socialising between guests and there is internet access throughout. Other features include high quality televisions and entertainment systems, a cockpit shower, sun mattresses, a hydraulic passerelle and life rafts for 24 persons. Twin 875hp Caterpillar engines give her a cruising speed of 10 knots.
Ruwenzori was asking €1,600,000 with VAT paid.
