A $500,000 price reduction has been announced on the 47.2-metre Christensen motor yacht Sea Class, listed for sale with Kurt Bosshardt of Denison Yachting.
Sea Class was delivered in 1997, constructed in GRP by the US shipyard, to a two-tone exterior design from the drawing boards of Donald Starkey.
She is heralded as one of the industry's most successful charter yachts and has been well-maintained throughout her life, now listed for sale as a "highly sought-after Christensen".
In 2012, the yacht for sale was stripped back to her hull and comprehensively refitted over 18 months (with a further refit in 2018). Further works in 2021 and 2022 included a fresh hull and superstructure repaint, while in 2023, a new interior was fitted - replacing her previous dark colour palette with a bright and modern design by Glade Johnson.
Accommodation on board is for 12 guests in six cabins, including an expansive full-beam master suite on the main deck, complete with his and hers en suite bathrooms. There is also a "bonus" cabin on the same deck suited for a caregiver or young children.
In terms of living space, the main saloon features oversized seating around a coffee table aft, while forward lies a large wooden dining table seating 10, leading to a large, open-plan main foyer. Up a level, the skylounge is the focal guest area and delivers a relaxed atmosphere with a large L-shaped sofa, an entertainment system, a wet bar and a games table. In both spaces, "exceptionally large windows" provide plenty of interior light.
There are exterior decks aplenty, including a vast sun deck with its four-person sun bed, loungers, comfortable helm seats, BBQ and Jacuzzi.
A wide staircase at the stern leads down to an oversized swim platform - perfect for enjoying Sea Class's wide array of water toys and inflatables.
The American-built yacht offers a top speed of 19 knots and a maximum cruising range of 3,500 nautical miles at a 12-knot cruising speed. Power comes from twin 2,200hp Deutz-MWM diesel engines - both of which were also rebuilt in 2024.
Sea Class is now asking $12,495,000.
