The 33 metre new-build Columbus Liberty motor yacht project from Italy’s Palumbo yard has been listed for sale by David Seal at Northrop & Johnson.
The Columbus Liberty 33 is an aluminium semi-displacement yacht designed to offer a great combination of speed and range as well as exceptional deck space. The yacht will cruise at 19.5 knots and has a top speed of 22.5 knots, but offers a 6,640 nautical mile range. The range is achieved by combining the two MTU 12V M94 main engines with Siemens 60KW Ecoprops.
Marco Casali of Too Design is the designer and is keen to stress that the idea behind the yacht is to offer a great amount of deck space so that owners can enjoy the sun and the sea during their stay on board. The aft deck is particularly large, with a character plunge pool built into the transom, and the bow features a large seating area big enough for 12 people dine al fresco.
The Columbus Liberty 33 is available in various formats. The raised pilothouse version allows the owner to position the master stateroom on the main deck and have anything from three to five staterooms below deck.
The Loft Version of the vessel places the galley mid-ships and below deck along with the crew quarters, leaving the main deck free for a very spacious saloon with a formal dining area and bar. A Flat Version is also available, where the crew quarters are positioned in the bow, and the galley is located centrally as an island immediately behind the helm station on the main deck.
Since the vessel will be built from aluminium, both the designer and the shipyard are keen to stress that a high level of customisation is achievable, not just the layout but also the length of the yacht.
The Columbus Liberty 33m is asking €12 million.
