I call Claude Niek at CSO Yachts in Cannes et voila, he has two new central agencies for sale, the 25m Laysh La and 25.5m Soja, both flybridge motoryachts.
Laysh La was built by Amer Per Mare in 2001 to RINA class and sleeps eight guests in two doubles and two twins. She's been owned by the vendor since new and has been used only for cruising in the Mediterranean. Her asking price is €950,000.
Launched by Seanest in 2007, Soja was built to RINA class and is MCA compliant, accommodating eight guests in a master, VIP, double and twin. She has a cruising speed of 23 knots and is on the market at €2.49 million.
And here's a historical footnote: It was in 1959, when planning a worldwide cruise, that Claude Schmitt discovered there was no professional help available to ease his way, as there was no infrastructure attached to leisure yachting. Returning from his cruise armed with a wealth of new-found knowledge, he founded the rather grandly-named Claude Schmitt Organisation, now known as CSO Yachts and celebrating its fiftieth anniversary.
