The Azimut/Benetti Group has announced that Fabio Ermetto will be the new chairman of Fraser Yachts.
Ermetto previously worked in a senior position for Benetti as well as having been the sales and marketing director of the Heesen shipyard in Holland for the past six years.
'My appointment is part of a new strategy by our shareholders,' comments Ermetto. 'They would like to give a new direction to Fraser Yachts. Our business has emerged from the recent harsh economic climate in great shape but today’s environment presents an abundance of new opportunities that need to be seized and capitalised on.
'I am very excited about the future and look forward to immersing myself in the organisation so I can determine the right course for the future; but for now it is very much business as usual.'
