38m Fitzroy sailing yacht Escapade sold in-house

22 July 2025 • Written by Emily Dawkins

The 37.5-metre sailing yacht Escapade has been sold in an in-house deal with Will Bishop and Matt Albert of Superyacht Partners

Constructed in aluminium by New Zealand-based yard Fitzroy Yachts, Escapade was delivered in 2014 as a high-performance long-range cruising yacht. The yacht’s all-British design comprises an exterior by Dubois Naval Architects and interiors by Design Unlimited.

According to her brokers, she has been "meticulously maintained by her original owner", benefitting from a "significant" refit and completion of her Lloyds 10-year survey in 2024-2025. She joined the market with Superyacht Partners in February this year.

Escapade was last asking €13,750,000

Escapade sleeps 10 guests in four cabins. The master cabin is located aft, equipped with an island double berth with a vanity table and sofa to port. Elsewhere, the owner can enjoy a walk-in wardrobe and an en suite with a shower room. Both twin cabins feature Pullman berths, while the yacht’s fourth cabin is found forward. A crew of five are also accommodated in three cabins.

Amenities on this sailing yacht's vast exterior include a Jacuzzi and large sunpads on the foredeck. Two L-shaped sunpads are found on the main deck aft, facing the versatile open deck space while an exercise bike rises through a flush deck hatch. A swim platform is created by her folding transom, with a boarding ladder found port amidships.

Guests can access the deck saloon via a companionway, into a space that features large double-glazed windows providing panoramic views. Sheltered beneath a Bimini hardtop, there is a guest lounge and bar to port, while an al fresco dining space is located starboard.

Escapade stands tall in the water thanks to a rig that reaches 50 metres above the waterline. She features a fixed keel, carbon mast, airfoil carbon rigging by Hall Spars and 3D lightweight sails by North Sails.

The sailing yacht is powered by one Caterpillar engine for a top speed of 10 knots, a cruising speed of nine knots and a range of up to 3,900 nautical miles.

Escapade was last asking €13,750,000.
