Heesen's superyacht Elandess II sold by Burgess and Merle Wood

13 July 2010 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

A scoop, as Caroline Walters at Burgess calls me to say that Heesen's 47m motor yacht Elandess II sold earlier today to a direct client - the latest in a series of upbeat brokerage news from Burgess.

Built in 2008, this superyacht went on to win the award for Best Displacement Motor Yacht in her size category at the World Superyacht Awards in 2009. One of the factors in winning the award may have been her stunning Bannenberg & Rowell interior, accommodating up to 12 guests in a master suite, three doubles and one twin cabin. A joint central agency for sale with Merle Wood & Associates, Lloyds classed and MCA compliant, Elandess II was asking €29 million.
