News now from Wes Sanford at Northrop & Johnson that the 39.6m motor yacht Tranquility, jointly listed with Whit Kirtland at Bradford Marine Yacht Sales, is sold with David Nichols at International Yacht Collection acting for the buyer.

Tranquility was built by Hatteras to a Jack Hargrave design and delivered in 1995. Formerly known as Sacajawea, she underwent a transformation in 2006/2007, with her owner sparing no expense in updating and upgrading this well known vessel. He hired the award-winning design team of Claudette Bonville & Associates to create a new interior, which features warm earth tones throughout. At the same time her mechanical, plumbing and air conditioning systems were upgraded and engines were rebuilt.

Her 10 guests are accommodated in a master suite, three double staterooms and a twin cabin while twin 2,400hp Detroit Diesel engines give her a range of 2,100 nautical miles at 10 knots.

Tranquility was asking $4.39 million.
