Now for news of two new faces in the Fort Lauderdale office of Northrop and Johnson.

The first is veteran broker John Weller who joins the sales division. John started his career in 1975 with Richard Bertram & Co. and was awarded the company’s top broker award no less than 26 times. Most recently, he has completed the construction of a new 240' Feadship for a former client, and several support vessels are in the works as well.

John also works hard in the community, organising the Annual Big Brothers/Big Sisters fishing tournament in South Florida, and arranging yacht outings for families who have a child with cancer, his way of giving back after his own battle with the disease several years ago. He is constantly looking for volunteers with boats for both projects.

Kevin Merrigan, President of Northrop and Johnson, comments: “We are thrilled to have John’s expertise as he is one of the most respected brokers in the industry."

Also joining the Fort Lauderdale office is Daniel Ziriakus as marketing director. Daniel has an extensive background in luxury marketing, having worked for companies such as Estee Lauder. He subsequently moved to Miami where he worked for an agency specialised in building brand identities. His clients included a number of luxury hotel brands and real estate developers. Most recently he was head of US marketing at Fraser Yachts, where he played an integral part in the design and development of their brand as it stands today. In his new role, Daniel will oversee marketing activity across the entire Northrop and Johnson group.

Kevin comments: “Daniel’s luxury marketing background and accomplishments have brought a new beginning to Northrop and Johnson. now understand why Daniel is so well respected.”
