The 31 metre sailing yacht Lady Thuraya has switched central agencies and is now listed for sale by Jan Jaap Minnema at Fraser and IYC.
Built in steel with a teak superstructure by German yard Lubbe Voss to a design by Henk Lunstroo, she was delivered in 1982 and in 2009 had a complete rebuild with every system serviced or replaced, bringing her to as-new condition.
Accommodation is for eight guests in four cabins consisting of a master suite, double and twin, all with stereo sound systems, flatscreen television sets and full en suite facilities. In addition, there is accommodation for five crew in two cabins aboard this yacht for sale.
A cosy saloon has ample seating, a dining area and an entertainment centre including a large Samsung television screen while on deck the open cockpit offers an al fresco entertaining and dining area protected from the sun by a large awning.
On the technical side, her extensive sail wardrobe comprises Dacron sails and her wooden masts and booms are hollow, section-glued and of fine grain Oregon pine. All deck hardware and fittings are custom-made in steel and bronze. Under power, a 300hp John Deere diesel engine gives her a cruising speed of 8 knots and a range of 1,300 nautical miles.
Lying in the Maldives, Lady Thuraya is asking €1,950,000.
